Kelburn Haunted Forest 2025 – Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket for Kelburn Haunted Forest 2025 (the “Event”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. General Information

Kelburn Haunted Forest 2025 is an immersive, outdoor scare trail experience taking place at Kelburn Castle & Estate, Fairlie, Ayrshire, Scotland.

The event contains live actors, special effects, sudden loud noises, strobe lighting, low visibility, uneven terrain, and frightening scenes.

The event is recommended for ages 18+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
2. Ticket Purchase & Entry

All tickets must be purchased in advance via our official ticketing platform.

Your ticket grants entry to the event at your booked date and time only. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
-
Tickets are non-transferable without prior written permission from Kelburn Estate.

Entry may be refused if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or behaving in a disruptive manner.
3. Health & Safety

The event takes place in outdoor forest terrain which may be muddy, slippery, steep, or uneven. Sturdy footwear is essential.

The event will continue in most weather conditions, including rain, wind, and cold temperatures. Please dress appropriately.

You must follow all instructions from event staff for your safety and the safety of others.

Kelburn Nightmare is not suitable for individuals who:

Suffer from heart conditions, epilepsy, or severe anxiety.
-
Are pregnant.
-
Have mobility issues that prevent walking on uneven terrain for extended periods.
-

Strobe lights, fog effects, and loud sound effects are in use.
4. Weather & Cancellations

The event will run in most weather conditions.
-
In the event of extreme weather (e.g. high winds, severe flooding) where it is unsafe to operate, the event may be postponed or cancelled.

If the event is cancelled, you will be offered the option to rebook for another date (subject to availability) or receive a refund.
5. Refunds & Exchanges

Tickets are non-refundable except in the case of event cancellation by Kelburn Estate.

No refunds will be issued for non-attendance.
-
Exchanges to a different date may be possible with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
6. Code of Conduct
-
Do not touch the actors and they will not touch you.
-
No running, pushing, or unsafe behaviour is permitted.
-
No smoking, vaping, or open flames are allowed within the event area.
-
Alcohol is not permitted within the scare trail.
7. Personal Belongings
-
Please keep valuables with you at all times. Kelburn Estate accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
8. Photography & Recording
-
Photography and video recording are allowed during the trail, but please do not use flash or bright lights, as these can spoil the experience for others and pose safety risks in low-light areas.

By entering the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.
9. Acceptance of Risk
By attending Kelburn Haunted Forest 2025, you acknowledge that:

The event is designed to be frightening and unsettling.

Participation is at your own risk.
-
You assume all risks associated with uneven ground, low lighting, weather conditions, and scare elements.
10. Accommodation
Booking and Payment:
-
All bookings must be made by persons over 18 years of age. Confirmation of details will be given and should be checked immediately on receipt for any errors. Any discrepancies must always be notified by email or phone within 10 days following the date of the confirmation and in any case before the start of the stay. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is assumed at time of booking and it is the responsibility of the person making the booking to share these Terms and Conditions and any supporting information with the other guests.
Damages:

A refundable deposit of £50 is required for each yurt to cover damages or cost of additional time spent cleaning where the property has been left in an unacceptable state. Any damages must be reported to Kelburn Management before checkout. Small accidental damages of a minor nature will not normally be charged for. Significant damage above the cost of the deposit must be paid for by arrangement. The deposit will be refunded in full within 24 hours of departure unless any of the above have occurred
Check in / Check Out:

Check in time is from 5.00pm to 10pm

Check out time is by 12.00pm
Occupancy:

Occupancy of your Yurt must not exceed 5 people

We reserve the right to decline accommodation and/or ask you to leave the site if your numbers exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.

In extreme circumstances Kelburn reserves the right to close the site. In that instance Kelburn will offer a full refund.
Being Respectful to Other Guests:

All guests on site will be engaged in the Haunted Forest event. However, behaviour must be respectful to other guests sharing the experience and facilities. Loud social behaviour should be curtailed after midnight. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at any time. Guests deemed by management to be causing nuisance may be required to immediately leave the site without a refund. We have a zero-tolerance policy for drunken disorderly behaviour causing affront to other guests or staff.
Personal Belongings:

Kelburn accept no liability for any belongings left in the Yurts at any time.
Smoking and vaping:
-
Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside the Yurts under any circumstances. Please use designated smoking areas and do not litter tab-ends.
Kelburn Castle & Estate reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
